Her Music
Brookelyn picked up the guitar in 1997 after a band in which she was the lead
singer broke up.  She then emerged as a solo artist and began crafting pop/folk
songs and has been performing ever since.  Brookelyn released a solo album
(Dance With Me) in 2002 and is a regular performer in Alaska.  She hopes to
release another album
within the next 10 years.
Notable Moments
Opened for funky Laura Love in 2002, famed Australian guitarist and

A fun loving soul, Brookelyn is not one to take things too seriously.  For her, life
includes an outhouse, a desire to own chickens, and occasional lock jaw.  She also
pens an
underground advice column called "Dear Crazy Lady".  Enough said.

Brookelyn's new book
The Frozen Toe Guide to Real Alaskan Livin': Learn how to
Survive Moose Attacks, Endless Winters, and Life Without Indoor Plumbing
is
out now!  Check your local bookstore or order it at

This year, Brookelyn has plans to direct a documentary about running Mt.
Marathon
, Alaska's most infamous and potentially life-threatening foot race in
Seward.
She will be following 71 year-old Jerre Wills of Homer as he tries to repeat
his record-setting pace of 1:16 set last year- a pace which earned him the title "Ultra
Geezer Jock of the Year" from Masters Athlete magazine.
Should be interesting, if
not down right entertaining.

In other news, Brookelyn
will begin filming a Bigfoot spoof comedy by the end of
March, 2008. Watch for it's availability here...

Brookelyn lives in Delta Junction, Alaska, and pens a column for the Fairbanks
Daily-News Miner about her hometown twice a month.
Brookelyn has a talent for
growing tiny carrots and
miniature cabbages.  But not
on purpose.
